Look at the high-use seats
Check seat fronts, arms, headrests and the favorite pet spot. A large sectional may be heavily used in one corner while other sections stay relatively clean. Changes in feel, visible soil and odor are useful reasons to assess it; faded dye and worn fabric are not dirt that a more frequent clean can remove.
Routine care between appointments
Follow the furniture maker’s guidance for vacuuming and handling spills. Remove loose crumbs and pet hair with suitable tools, and address accidents promptly without testing a collection of household chemicals. Removable covers are not automatically machine washable. Keep the care label available for both home care and a professional quote.
When the schedule may need to change
Pets, children, regular guests and use as a sleeping space can increase the amount of soil. An accident, a secondhand purchase or a planned gathering can justify an assessment before a routine date. The material, previous treatment and drying conditions still determine whether cleaning is appropriate.
Plan the full layout
When asking for a repeat clean, send a new overview rather than relying on the last item count. Mention new sections, an ottoman, changed stains and any treatment used since the previous visit. Cleaning is priced for the current scope, not guaranteed at a previous rate if the work has changed.
A maintenance plan is a booking choice
LUX’s existing Care membership offers a twice-yearly schedule. It is a convenience for suitable quoted work, not proof that every sectional must be cleaned twice a year. Confirm the covered pieces, visit pricing, discount conditions and drying window before choosing a plan.
